Bloom. 48.5 x 18.25 inches.
Title: Bloom
Canvas: Gallery stretched Cotton Canvas, varnished twice, signed and dated on the back.
Size and Weight: 48.5 inches width x 18.25 inches height. 5 pounds/ 2.3 Kg
Dominant Colors: White, Peach
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas, Floetrol, Gloss varnish, Silicon Oil
Ready to Hang: Vertical
My piece 'Bloom' is a bright white multi acrylic swipe in multiple layers. The fluid technique called an acrylic swipe was done to create the thousands of abstract bubbles seen across the canvas. The lighter colors are pulled with silicon oils added creating bubbles that sink into the background beneath the first white layer. Dark purples and red, as well as greens, a light blue and oranges were paired and places compositionally to fill the canvas and create interest in a movement across the canvas.
The flow of the painting was carefully designed to give a fluid movement across the long canvas. The bright complimentary colors are very vibrant against any neutral wall color. The bright white will especially thrive against a darker wall color.
