My piece 'Evening Willow' is an abstract acrylic fluid art piece that has a bright white simple background and a moody color pallet to resemble a Willow Tree standing proudly at dusk. It's deep blues and purples, accented with soft pink hues, bright green and a predominant bright light blue mixed together creating hundreds of abstract bubbles. The heavy white paint is layered on top of the colors, which are mixed with silicon oils. The difference in densities creates the abstract designs and bubbles. The bubble resemble leaves and branches and three browns are applied directly using a fluid method of pouring to create a complicated and knotted truck and branches.
The white of the canvas is carefully used as negative space to complete the composition. Evening Willow has a dark energy that will bring intrigue to any space.
