My piece 'Ocean's Collision' is an acrylic fluid art piece that has a ocean design of a powerful white wave rushing in creating 7 different hues of blue, greens and white. The art piece was done in two different poured layers of acrylic paint. The base layer is full of subtle dark blues and blacks with a simple mix of neutral green paints. The second layer is poured atop the background to create a texture bubbled up texture and to ensure the bright white sits over the dark blues.
The heavy white paint is layered on top of the colors, which are mixed with silicon oils. The difference in the paint's densities create the abstract designs and bubbles seen across the canvas. A rush of water and movement across the canvas is full of abstract bubbles and individual water currents.
Riptide colors compliment each other with a deep contrast to create a natural ocean pallet. Ocean's Collision's light to dark design will work pop out against any shade of color on the wall, but will work extremely well against a simple neutral wall tone. This deep ocean painting will look fantastic in an office, or over a couch and bed.
